INDIANAPOLIS – All five South Dakota State starters scored in double figures – led by Brayden Carlson’s 18 points – and the Jackrabbits cruised past IUPUI 80-65 in a Summit League men’s basketball matchup.
Carlson scored 11 points in the first 8 1/2 minutes, and he capped the solid run with a steal and breakaway dunk to give SDSU a 24-10 lead.
Later, a 14-2 spurt gave the Jackrabbits a 52-26 lead; and they took a 52-28 lead into intermission.
"I thought it would have been easy for us to come out flat,” head coach Scott Nagy told SDSU Sports Information. “We talked yesterday about our pattern of the past two weeks of playing well on Thursday and being flat on Saturday. “I thought our guys did a wonderful job of having themselves prepared."
