Cossacks beat Vermillion, 42-40

MITCHELL – Spencer Hanson beat the buzzer to lift Sioux Valley to a 42-40 win over Vermillion on Saturday at the Hanson Classic in the Corn Palace.

With the score tied at 40-all, the Cossacks inbounded the ball as eighth-grader Tayton Vincent set a back pick to free Hanson, and freshman Collin Kramer lofted the inbounds pass perfectly to Hanson, who laid the ball in ahead of the final horn for the Sioux Valley win.
