Tigers fight off Bobcats, 40-20

BROOKINGS – The Bobcats competed hard, but fell 40-20, to third-ranked Huron in an Eastern South Dakota Conference dual on Friday at the BHS Auxiliary Gymnasium.

Brookings took an early 3-0 lead on the strength of Jacob Puppe’s 4-2 decision at 106 pounds, but the Tigers won the next three matches to go up 10-3 through the 126-pound weight class.

Peter Hansen won by technical fall at 132 to make it 10-8 before the Tigers extended their lead to 13-8 with a win at 138.
