Brookings man shot in leg during struggle

• Assailant charged with aggravated assault

BROOKINGS – A 51-year-old Brookings man was shot in the leg late Thursday night during an altercation at his Western Estates home.

Charged in the shooting is a 23-year-old Brookings man who was also a resident of the household.

The victim was wounded during a struggle with the younger man.
