Emergency management director resigns

• Commission accepts Struwe’s resignation following Jan. 8 executive session

BROOKINGS – Todd Struwe has resigned his post as head of Brookings County’s Emergency Management department.

Struwe has been the director of Emergency Management since November 1992. Before his resignation, he was earning a salary of $58,536.

After a lengthy county commission meeting Jan. 8, commissioners went into executive session to discuss personnel issues. Commissioner Tom Yseth said following that executive meeting, the board reconvened in open session and voted to accept Struwe’s resignation.
