BROOKINGS – Of two groups who clear pathways through the freshly fallen snow each year – street plows and snowmobile trail groomers – you can guess which prays for snow.

Last year, the Brookings-based Dakota Drifters Snowmobile Club didn’t get much of the white stuff and its members were forced to sit out most of the winter. This year, they’re happier. And they’re welcoming everyone, snowmobile owners or not, to join them on the trails during their charity poker run Jan. 26.
