ELMHURST, Ill. – For the second time this season, South Dakota State forward Megan Waytashek has been named Summit League Player of the Week after leading the Jackrabbits to a pair of victories.
A 6-foot sophomore from Lino Lakes, Minn., Waytashek scored a career-high 30 points, including the game-winning putback basket as time expired, in a 66-64 victory at Fort Wayne on Saturday. She made a career-best six 3-pointers and added 11 rebounds in posting her third double-double of the season.
Waytashek opened the week by tallying 13 points, five rebounds and three assists during a 64-43 win at Oakland on Thursday.
