VOLGA – McCook Central/ Montrose outscored Sioux Valley 30-20 in the fourth quarter to record a 64-55 boys’ basketball victory Friday night.
The Fighting Cougars went 9-for-14 from the free-throw line over the final 90 seconds to seal the victory. Will Gottlob made the team’s final four attempts to close out the game.
The Cossacks led 12-7 after a quarter, 19-18 at halftime and 35-34 through three quarters.
MCM went 26-of-37 on free throws for the game.
