Bobcats stay hot, pummel Yankton, 47-29

YANKTON – A 15-day holiday break didn’t slow down the Bobcats, as Brookings beat Yankton 47-29 in an Eastern South Dakota Conference boys’ basketball game on Saturday night at the Summit Activities Center.

BHS moved to 6-1 on the year, including a 5-1 record in conference games.

Braxton Carlson had game highs of 21 points and nine rebounds, and Kaleb Vig added 13 points.

The ‘Cats closed the first quarter on an 9-0 run – Carlson sandwiched 3-pointers around a Vig bucket and Konner Beste added a free throw – to make it 14-6.
