BROOKINGS – A key area for southside residential and commercial development in Brookings will get the city council’s attention in the group’s first meeting of 2013.
The installation of signal lights at 20th Street South and Main Avenue South will be the major item on Tuesday’s agenda.
The first regular session of the year will be a light one, with the council scheduled to act on only a few items, among them another wine permit for a local business. A new agreement permitting the NorthWestern Corpor-ation to install and repair its natural gas lines throughout the city will get a first reading.
