Jackrabbits earn more academic awards

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State players Seth Daughters and Zach Zenner were named Thursday to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team presented by KP Sports.

A senior tight end from Winner, Daughters earned a spot on the honor squad with a 3.72 grade-point average while majoring in exercise science. During the 2012 season, Daughters caught 17 passes for 134 yards with three touchdowns. A team captain, he earned a spot on the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Academic Second Team in 2012.
