• County plans to re-advertise position in the spring

BROOKINGS – Brookings County commissioners have appointed a current employee as temporary head of their Highway Department and plan to re-advertise the job this spring.

During Monday’s meeting of the Brookings County Commission, Dick Birk was appointed interim highway superintendent, effective from Jan. 1 to July 1.
