Rangers rally to beat Aberdeen

BROOKINGS – Austen Zerfas’ goal with two minutes left capped a furious Ranger rally as Brookings scored four goals in the final period to down Aberdeen in South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association action on Sunday at Larson Ice Center.

Thomas Hogg scored off an assist from Thomas Birkla to give the Cougars’ an early lead – which held up through the rest of the first and a scoreless second period.

Aberdeen went up 2-0 to open up the third frame when Dustin Santjer found the back of the net off a Hogg pass.
