United Way surpasses goal again

BROOKINGS – Brook-ings Area United Way has announced another record-breaking campaign for 2012-2013.

More than $744,000 has been donated or pledged by Brookings area residents and businesses, campaign officials announced Friday.

The total is 6 percent more than this year’s campaign goal of $700,000.
