VOLGA – Sioux Valley opened the boys’ basketball season in style, steamrolling Howard 91-34 on Friday night.
The Cossacks led 49-7 at halftime and had 60 points on the scoreboard before the Tigers even reached double digits.
“Season opener – so we came out with a lot of energy,” said Sioux Valley head coach Bill Vincent, who doesn’t have a senior on his roster. “We were nervous coming into it with (Howard) returning all five starters from a year ago, off a team that was in a district championship game."
