Blizzard shut out rival Aberdeen Wings, 2-0

BROOKINGS – The Blizzard scored two goals in the third period to beat the Central Division rival Aberdeen Wings, 2-0, during North American Hockey League action Friday night at Larson Ice Center.

Brookings’ Eric Brenk lit the lamp with 15:35 remaining in the period and Nikta Sokolov added an insurance goal with 6:10 remaining.

Adam Cavalinni and Justin Moody assisted on the first goal; and Tyler Cayemberg and Craig Lindegard were credited with helpers on the second.
