• Aurora, Volga processing facilities adding rail track
BROOKINGS – The Brookings County Commission on Tuesday agreed to back two ag processors as they apply for loans from the South Dakota Rail Board’s revolving loan fund. The state wouldn’t issue these loans without the county’s support.
Already Thursday, the Rail Board acted on the loan requests: It loaned $4 million to Novita Aurora. Novita had requested nearly $6.7 million, but the state’s revolving loan fund did not have that much to give.
It also loaned South Dakota Soybean Processors the full $964,070 it had requested.
