BROOKINGS – The short-handed Jackrabbits shook off a slow start and shot 60.7 percent from the field while dismantling NAIA opponent Dakota State, 83-52, for their 22nd consecutive home victory during men’s basketball action Thursday night at Frost Arena.
South Dakota State point guard Nate Wolters missed his second consecutive game; Zach Horstman was also sidelined with an ankle injury; and Taevaunn Prince returned, but in a limited role.
Trailing 11-5, redshirt-freshman Cory Jacobsen sandwiched a pair of 3-pointers around a Chad White jumper to give SDSU the lead for good at 13-11 with 12:29 remaining in the first half.
