BROOKINGS – The Bobcats opened the dual season with a pair of victories during their home triangular on Monday evening at the BHS Auxiliary Gymnasium.
Brookings defeated Chamberlain 60-15 to open the event and later added a 51-27 victory over West Central. The Trojans beat the Cubs 42-28 in between.
Eight Bobcats went 2-0 on the day, including Justin Behrend. The senior 285-pounder has six consecutive pins to open the season after winning the title at the Wahpeton (N.D.) Dan Unruh Invitational last weekend.
