Christmas, Kids and Cops seeking more help with donations

BROOKINGS – A program that helps underprivileged kids to buy Christmas presents, “Christmas, Kids and Cops” is gearing up again this year and is asking for monetary donations.

All donations will go directly to purchase gifts and a Christmas meal for the families of kids chosen to participate.

“The number of families we can serve is based solely on the number of donations we receive,” said Joe Fishbaugher, Brookings police officer.

“Currently we are looking at 18 families,” he said, adding, “All monies donated to this cause stay in Brookings County and only go to Brookings County families.”
