BROOKINGS – The sheriff’s office is investigating a pair of burglaries in western Brookings County.
According to Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring, the first break-in was reported at 4:30 p.m. Monday at an abandoned acreage in rural Arlington. A rural Arlington resident said someone broke into the property at 45451 213th St. sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Monday.
The front door was locked but had been forced open, causing damage to the door. Nothing was reported missing, and the amount of property damage is unknown.
The next burglary report was made at 7:15 p.m. Monday, at a residence in Volga.
