TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Trevor Lacey hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer and Alabama overcome a 30-point performance by South Dakota State’s Nate Wolters in a 70-67 victory over the Jackrabbits in a 2K Sports Classic regional-round game on Friday night at Coleman Coliseum.

SDSU scored four straight points to tie the game at 67-all, as Wolters hit a pair of free throws with 1:12 remaining and Tony Fiegen added a jumper with 34 seconds left.

Following an Alabama timeout, Lacey, a sophomore, came off a high ball screen and buried the trey to lift the Tide in both teams’ season-opening game.

The Jacks led by as many as 13 points – 29-16 – following a 14-3 run in the first half.
