Baird to offer perspective on tribal land-grant colleges

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University welcomes former rodeo cowboy and longtime educator Phil Baird for the penultimate installment of the 2012 Common Read program.

Baird is a Distinguished SDSU Alumnus (Class of 1978) and current academic vice president of United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, N.D. He will give a presentation titled “Tribal Land-Grant Colleges and American Indian Agriculture” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Avera Health and Science Center Room 0043.
