Citizens object to new permit process
BROOKINGS I disagree with changing the conditional use permit process from its current state, Kelley Tilmon told the Brookings City Council Tuesday.
When you take away the city council level of the approval process, you take away most of the time and opportunity for public consideration and input.
Tilmon, an associate professor of plant science at South Dakota State University, was the first in a series of speakers five in all who appeared at the council meeting to protest proposed changes to the citys conditional use ordinance.
