Veteran lawmaker Peterson has ‘more work to do’

BROOKINGS – Both of their state representatives were term-limited out of office in 2012, and with no incumbents in the mix, District 4 voters will have to make some new choices next month at the ballot box.

There is one familiar face among the candidates, however: statehouse veteran James R. “Jim” Peterson.

The Grant County Democrat can say he’s “been there, done that,” because he’s previously served in both the South Dakota House and the Senate – a total of 10 years.
