No more peanuts in Brookings schools

• Allergen guidelines get final approval, policies already in effect

BROOKINGS – A new set of allergen guidelines for Brookings School District were approved Monday and are now in effect.

The guidelines have been a long time in the making, Superintendent Roger DeGroot said during Monday’s school board meeting.

“We’ve been working on the guidelines for over six months,” he said. “We’ve invited a lot of people, and a lot of people have been involved in designing these guidelines.”
