Asbestos found in courthouse after all

• County will spend $7,000 to dispose of and replace pipes

BROOKINGS – Brookings County thought it was free from worry about asbestos and lead-based paint in its courthouse remodel project. But Tuesday, commissioners learned some of the dangerous fibers had been found in the courthouse plumbing system and need to be removed.
