Bobcat softball team goes 1-2 at state tourney

SIOUX FALLS – Brookings went 1-2 at the Class B state softball tournament on a windy and chilly Saturday at Sherman Park.

The Bobcats opened with a 12-4 loss to West Central, before bouncing back with a 13-4 win over Lennox. Brookings closed out play with a 16-15, eight-inning loss to Madison.

The ‘Cats finished the fall season with a 15-13 record.
