Donation bringing comfort, warmth to dialysis patients

• Blanket warmer given in memory of John Gustafson

BROOKINGS – Friends and family of John H. Gustafson gathered in the kidney dialysis waiting room at Brookings Health System recently to recognize a gift presented in Gustafson’s memory.

A lifelong Brookings resident and business leader, Gustafson died March 25 at age 60.

Dick and Theanne Peterson, friends of Gustafson, donated funds to Brookings Health System Foundation to purchase a blanket warmer for the kidney dialysis unit housed in the Brookings hospital and operated by Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center.
