Brookings couple escapes mobile home fire

BROOKINGS – A Brookings couple is safe but homeless this week after an early morning fire destroyed their mobile home.

Fire Chief Darrell Hartmann said the home of Brian and Jackie Egeberg is a complete loss following a 4:40 a.m. blaze Thursday that left the structure uninhabitable.
