BROOKINGS – The South Dakota Army National Guard and the 139th Brigade Support Battalion are asking Brookings area residents to help them this weekend in their fight against suicide. The groups are hosting Operation: Hope, a suicide awareness walk, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at the armory at 300 Fifth St. S. in Brookings.
