Bison win Jackrabbit Fall Invite crowns

SIOUX FALLS – North Dakota State swept the team and individual titles at the inaugural Jackrabbit Fall Invitational, which concluded Monday at Minnehaha Country Club.

The Bison won the men’s team title by eight shots with an 877 (290-289-298) total. South Dakota State was second at 885 (291-293-301).

The Bison women finished with a three-round total of 933 (309-310-314) to win by 18 shots, with Northern Iowa (316-315-320—951) taking second and Augustana (310-321-322—953) third. The Jacks finished fifth at 975 (333-323-319)

Individually, NDSU’s brother-sister duo of Nathan Anderson and Amy Anderson posted a pair of wins.

Nathan Anderson won the men’s title by a shot with a 2-over-par 212 (74-68-70) total. SDSU’s Hudson Carpenter was second at 213 (70-74-69).

Amy Anderson won the women’s championship by 10 after carding a 3-over 216 (71-70-75). SDSU golfer and Brookings native Morgan Fitts was runner-up at 226 (78-71-77).

A total of eight teams and 45 individuals competed in both events.
