BROOKINGS – Rehabilitation of three bridges east of Brookings on U.S. Highway 14 began Tuesday, South Dakota Department of Transportation officials announced this week.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane during construction and will be controlled with temporary signal systems.
Motorists can expect some delays during peak driving hours in the mornings and afternoons, officials say.
The work is expected to take about one month to complete.
PCiRoads LLC of Saint Michael, Minn., is the prime contractor for the $451,175 project.
