Ellen G. Bergerson - Sioux Falls: Dec. 18, 1925 – July 26, 2012

Ellen G. Bergerson, 86, formerly of Madison, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Dougherty Hospice, Sioux Falls. Ellen fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Madison with a celebration of life service at a later date for Ellen’s family and friends. There will be no visitation.

Ellen Angen was born Dec. 18, 1925, at Staten Island, N.Y., to Alphild and Mauris Martinson. She married Norman W. Bergerson on Feb. 13, 1944, and shared 54 years of marriage until Norman’s death in 1997.

She is survied by three children: a son, Norman (Lynn) Bergerson of Crooked River Ranch, Ore., and twin daughters, Barbara Beck of Box Elder and Sandra (Michael) Keeley of Sioux Falls, a sister, Bunny (Manger) Ericksen of Toms River, N.J.; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, and a sister Edith Hatchett.
