BROOKINGS – The Brookings Bombers Black swept a pair of games with Sioux Falls East Tuesday at George S. Mickelson Field in Brookings.
Black won the opener 12-4, before completing the sweep with a 13-3 victory in the nightcap.
In Game 1, Black scored its 12 runs on 11 hits as Zach Treiber, Garret Jeppesen and Preston Tetzlaff led the way at the plate with two hits apiece.
Sam McMacken had a grandslam homerun, while Mitch McKibben, Akren Prodoehl, Devin Coughlin and Chris Lerdal each had a hit.
Lerdal pitched all six innings, striking out three East hitters.
In Game 2, Black won via the 10-run rule in four innings.
Trevor Wallen pitched all four innings, striking out three East hitters.
Black scored its 13 runs on seven hits as McMacken led the way at the plate with his second homerun of the day.
Jeppesen, Coughlin, Jacob Pharis, Jacob Puppe, Wallen and Caleb Stratmoen each had a hit.
The next action for the Bombers Black (17-12) is Friday as they play host to Huron for a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. at Mickelson Field.
