AURORA Post 230 and McCook-Miner split a Legion baseball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Aurora field.
McCook-Miner won the opener, 18-7, in six innings; and Aurora took the nightcap by a 6-4 margin to salvage the split.
Aurora (8-13) plays host to Kingsbury County tonight at 7.

The visitors broke open the game with three runs in the fifth and five in the sixth.
Justin Sweet led Post 230 with three hits and two runs scored. Ryen Zerfas recorded two RBIs, including a sacrifice fly and a run-scoring single. David Burkhalter also had two hits and Just Behrend scored twice. Andre Jorgenson doubled.
Behrend took the loss on the mound after allowing eight runs on six hits with five walks and two strikeouts in two-plus innings.
Aurora stayed in the game despite trailing 10-1 after 2 1/2 innings. Post 230 scored five in the bottom of the third and one in the fourth to pull within 10-7.

Game 2
Aurora 6, McCook-Miner 4
Jorgenson tossed a complete game and Post 230 scored three unanswered runs to secure the win.
Jorgenson allowed four runs three earned on five hits with four strikeouts and a walk in seven innings.
Zerfas reached on an error in the third and later scored on an error following Brandon DeSmets single to tie the game at 4-all.
Aurora took the lead for good in the fourth, getting RBI singles by Logan Newman and Behrend.
Post 230 took an early lead via a three-run second inning. Nick Hanson opened the scoring with a bases-loaded walk, plating Zerfas. Jorgenson followed with a run-scoring single and Sweet followed with an RBI groundout.
McCook-Miner answered with all four of its runs in the top of the third, before Aurora retook control.
Six different batters singled for Aurora in the win.
