Pizza Ranch, CF Promo, Century 21 post wins

High-scoring games highlighted Major League action at the Medary baseball fields on Thursday.



• Pizza Ranch 15, BraVo’s 9

Jacob Engen and Josh Sell each hit three singles, scored three times and drove in one run to lead Pizza Ranch to victory. Nick Hardin and Jordan Vlaminck each knocked in three runs and scored two runs, with Hardin hitting a triple and Vlaminck connecting on a home run and two singles. Casey Pedersen drove in three runs with two singles. Dillon Jensen also contributed with two singles, two runs scored and one run batted in. Brady Lee singled and scored one run.

For BraVo’s, Tyler Kreutner and Ryan Miley each singled four times; Conner Klinkhammer hit two singles; and Ryan Treiber, Eric Sell and Joshua Gustafson each hit one single. Dominic Dobesh doubled, scored one run and drove in one run. Miley had three RBIs and Klinkhammer had two.



• CF Promo 12, Superior Homes 5

For Superior Homes, Kurt Gutormson singled, doubled and scored one run. Kaden Vugteveen, Cayden Jacobsma and Sean Sullivan also had base hits. Jacobsma, Sullivan, Brock Luze and Christian Mediger also scored runs for Superior Homes. Mediger drove in one run. Caden Wright was the starting pitcher, with Mediger and Luze pitching in relief.

• Century 21 11, First Bank & Trust 4

Twelve base hits by Century 21, led by Carter Krogman and Dalton Rittershaus, resulted in another victory. Krogman had two doubles and one triple, and scored four runs. Rittershaus smacked two doubles and also crossed the plate twice. Carter Schoup, Ellie Abraham, Evan Koerner, Jack McCarthy, Jacob Schoon and Justin Devine also paced Century 21’s hitting attack. Koerner, Schoon, Devine and Tanner Shepardson also scored runs for Century 21.

Rhett Zelensky’s three singles and one run scored led First Bank & Trust. Justin Puppe’s single drove in Trevor Berreth (who had walked) in the first inning, and Puppe later scored on a ground out by Brock Mahanke. Jay Szarfyk tripled and later scored a run, as well.
