BROOKINGS – Believe it or not, it’s already mosquito season, and the city’s about to take steps to make the summer more comfortable for residents.
Weather permitting, the City of Brookings Street Department today begins citywide ground fogging for mosquitoes.
The foggers will be out between 9 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, June 12) and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Since winds at the time of spraying dictate how the fogging is conducted, staffers cannot predict which part of the town will be sprayed first.
For additional mosquito control information, call the Mosquito Hotline at 696-7669 or check the city website at www.cityofbrookings.org.
