Tenors concert: Woodbine Productions draws another headline act to SDSU campus

Posted: Monday, Feb 24th, 2014

The Tenors, from left, Fraser Walters, Remigio Pereira, Victor Micallef and Clifton Murray, bring their spring tour to Brookings on Feb. 28 as part of the Woodbine Concert Series at SDSU. After playing at the Performing Arts Center here, the Canadian group heads to England for nine shows followed by a special one-day-only show at the Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.

BROOKINGS – Music education major Michael Bader will take his seat in the Performing Arts Center Feb. 28 a little later than the rest of the crowd gathered to hear The Tenors on the South Dakota State University campus in Brookings.

But he will sink into the cushioned chairs at the state-of-the-art venue with a grateful heart. Bader, a sophomore from Brandon, is in his second year as a Woodbine Scholar, a program which receives its funding from proceeds generated by concerts like the one The Tenors will deliver.

As a Woodbine Scholar, Bader will show up when the performance center’s doors open to usher guests and hand out programs.
