Charlie Arnot

BROOKINGS – Charlie Arnot, CEO of the Center for Food Integrity, will present “Size Matters: Why we love to hate ‘Big Food’ and why sustainable intensification may be the key to survival,” next week at the Performing Arts Center on the South Dakota State University campus.

Arnot’s presentation, at 7 p.m. Monday, is open to the public. It is sponsored by the SDSU Swine Club.

“A number of us had listened to Arnot at the South Dakota Food Roundtable last November in Sioux Falls and were impressed,” said Bob Thaler, an SDSU professor and an SDSU Extension swine specialist. “He’s able to present what the general public thinks about modern agricultural practices, and then how ag producers need to tell their story to consumers.”
