BROOKINGS The Brookings Public Library is announcing good results from a community survey conducted June 17-July 3.
The results were presented to the Library Board at its Aug. 13 meeting.
The survey respondents indicated a strong approval rating of the overall services of the library, with 96 percent of the 744 respondents reporting that they were extremely or very satisfied with services.
The helpfulness of library staff showed an even greater satisfaction, with 97 percent of respondents saying that they were extremely or very satisfied with the service received from staff members.
Library Board Chair Mac Harris was enthusiastic about the results and about the library. The approval numbers were what we would expect from an Exemplary library. The Brookings Public Library was designated as an Exemplary library by the South Dakota State Library late last year.
