BROOKINGS – Remotely controlled vehicles will be searching for radiation sensors during the American Society of Mechanical Engineering District C Student Professional Development Conference today and Friday on the South Dakota State University campus.
The event, which is hosted by the student chapters of ASME at SDSU and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, will involve 120 engineering students from 16 universities.
After meetings this evening, the student competition will begin with the posters, webpages and oral presentations from 9-11 a.m. Friday in the University Student Union.
The highlight of the event, the design competition, starts at 1 p.m. in the Volstorff Ballroom. All competitions are free and open to the public.
