BROOKINGS – Organizers of the Brookings Chamber Music Society didn’t need to look far to find the talent for the group’s second event of the school year.

The Dakota String Quartet, a core ensemble of the South Dakota Symphony in Sioux Falls, will join forces with South Dakota State University Professor John Walker in a 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, performance in the Performing Arts Center at SDSU.

The featured work for the concert is a monument of the chamber music repertoire, Shostakovich’s “Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57.”
