A fantastic festival

Thanks to mild weather, the annual Festival of Lights parade in downtown Brookings on Thursday evening drew its largest crowd in recent memory. Seen here, First Lutheran Church lights up Main Avenue with its brightly decorated float featuring the Mission Coffeehouse, / crowds of kids camp out and wait for candy at the corner of Fourth Street / and Nathaniel Buus, 6, and Taira Buus, 3, visit with Santa at the Children’s Museum of South Dakota before the parade.
