A Brookings man has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging he distributed ecstasy in the community three times last year.
Jason D. Lieske, 23, of 2038 Derdall Drive, is facing three counts of unauthorized distribution of a substance with high potential for abuse.
Jan. 14 indictments from a Brookings County grand jury accuse him of distributing ecstasy on Nov. 20, Nov. 27 and Dec. 3, 2009.
All three charges are Class 4 felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
After accepting Lieske's not guilty pleas, Circuit Judge Vincent Foley scheduled a jury trial to begin April 21. Lieske is free on bond. Contact Jill Fier at jfier@brookingsregister .com.
