Two Volga teenagers were injured, one seriously, in a Monday evening car-vs .-motorcycle crash in Sioux Falls.
According to a report from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Louise Avenue. Samantha Holderby was riding on a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Lane Docter. Both 19-year-olds are from Volga.
Police say that 18-year-old Jessica Aubuchon of Sioux Falls was northbound on Louise and turning west into the Walmart parking lot when her Chevy Lumina hit the motorcycle. The crash seriously injured Holderby, and Docter had minor injuries. Both, who were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident , went to Sanford Hospital. Holderby is the daughter of former Sioux Valley Superintendent Sam Holderby and longtime Sioux Valley teacher Sherry Holderby. Docter is the son of longtime Sioux Valley kindergarten teacher Sue Docter Aubuchon was not hurt. Police did not issue any immediate citations.
