• Santiago-Eufraco facing up to 15 years in prison for Dec. 21 attack
BROOKINGS – The Arlington man accused of attacking a woman in a downtown Brookings bar late last year has pleaded no contest to aggravated assault.
Twenty-two-year-old Fernando Santiago-Eufraco entered his plea in Brookings County Circuit Court this week, and he faces up to 15 years in prison when he returns for sentencing next month.
Brookings County State’s Attorney Clyde Calhoon said the charges stemmed from a Dec. 21 incident at the 9 Bar & Nightclub in Brookings.
