• Brookings man airlifted to Sioux Falls after vehicle pulled off him
BROOKINGS – A Brookings man was knocked unconscious Saturday when the four-wheeler he was riding crashed and rolled over on top of him.
Casey Schroader, 22, was unconscious when bystanders pulled him from underneath the all-terrain vehicle, according to Lt. Derrick Powers of the Brookings Police Department.
The young man was taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital and then airlifted to Sioux Falls.
Brookings police received a call about 8:30 p.m. Saturday regarding an individual riding on private land in the 700 block of First Street. He was also reported to be driving his ATV near the railroad tracks along First.
