BROOKINGS – The owner of a 2005 Pontiac reported Saturday that his car’s window had been smashed by a person or persons unknown. The vandalism occurred during the evening hours Friday or early Saturday morning.
The Grand Prix was parked in the 600 block of Sixth Avenue when someone used a hard object to smash the passenger side window of the vehicle. The act resulted in about $500 in damage, police said.
Although there is no evidence to link this window-smashing to an earlier vandalism spree, Brookings Police Lt. Derrick Powers says investigators are still looking for information on that string of incidents.
