Officer on rounds finds door shattered

BROOKINGS – A Brookings police officer on patrol early this morning discovered a broken glass door at a downtown business.

Shortly after 2 a.m., the officer noticed the window glass of a door leading to the upper floor of the Allegra Print & Imaging building was shattered and investigated.

Whether the damage resulted from intentional vandalism or an accident is unknown.

Police estimate damages at approximately $500.
